The American Lesson

we make mistakes.

we have fucked up a dozen times a dozen.

but what makes us special

what makes us really great

is our ability to get up

try again

and do better next time.

We are not afraid to try

for in trying lies the adventure

the lessons

and the stories.

It’s not the freedom

nor the opportunity.

it’s the bravery

of trying to accomplish

which makes this country special.

The beauty of everything lies

not in the mistakes

nor the accomplishments

but in the act

of trying again.
