Why The Fact You Can’t Find Writers Is A Good Thing For Your Network

There seems to be a shortage of good writers for most of the networks I see popping up.

That’s a good thing.

Because you don’t really want a writer anyway. What you are really looking for is a producer.

In television/movies/music a producer is the guy (or girl) that oversees the project.

If you are looking for writers, here’s a suggestion.

Put the word out that you are looking for a “content producer” instead.

They may have to do podcasts.

They may have to do video.

They may have to write.

But the one thing they will certainly have to do is produce content.

With a titile like that, they will probably be expecting a salary that matches. Just seems its easier to get writers than people who have ambition and want to produce. Which is why there are also about 10 million bloggers and about 100 networks.

Im wondering…are the networks turning away bloggers apps? Im sure many of them get more people wanting to join then they care to let in. hmm…
