Is The Blog Herald Afraid Of Nick Denton?

gawker.jpg

So this morning I was perusing The Blog Herald and saw an interesting headline: Does Gawker Media Hate America?

All it did was point to the Perez Hilton article where Gawker is bashed for turning away advertisers that are too “low rent”.

The site’s ad manager boasts that it takes no Ford or Chevy ads because “we hate American cars” and no pharmaceutical ads because their readers are “beautiful and healthy”.

I thought it was interesting and I wasn’t the only one who thought so.

But now the post is gone. Never existed.

Now I’m not going to question the why because it really doesn’t matter. I’ll leave that to the conspiracy folks.

But I will say this.

The Gawker Ad manager is right. And funny.

  1. lol, no conspiracy here. We did a server move, and some posts didn’t transfer over. They’re still on the old server, though, easy enough to recover.

Y’know, though, this is what email is for :p

    Slow Sunday🙂

Plus it’s a Denton-esque headline: Much ado about nothing. Seemed apropos. No harm done, I hope.🙂

  3. Naw, no harm done. I guess jabs are fair play, especially given the post you were talking about. I’m sure as soon as Dunc’s up we’ll get the post moved across🙂
