I kinda like all the songs this week. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are a cool band with great management.
At SXSW there manager (not the label) paid for the band to be plastered on taxis all over the city knowing that they would be in high demand. Smart.

The broadway show Avenue Q has commissioned cabs to cover themselves in orange “fur” (its really like astroturf) with a black “Q” on the side. What will they think of next

Prince is still a bad m*therf*cker, isn’t he? And I don’t mean you. 🙂

Prince is the musical genius of our generation if not the greatest of alltime.
I was told by a friend that knows him that he has in his vault of over 200 songs that he will only release after he dies. I hope I outlive him just to get to hear them.
Plus I think I will start writing posts to be posted only after my death… 🙂

Char, Good to see Artic Monkeys doing well on billboard, a clear example of what you say abuot the music biz, they are a true internet band, not sure if the story broke state side though.

I know the story but I don’t know how many non-music addicts know it. But it’s a story of the future, that’s for sure. I’ll have to write about it.
