How To Be Bigger Than Brian Clark (Or the 6 months and counting Monday Remix)

So it’s not working.

The product/service you have spent years thinking about and invested all your pension in just isn’t working.

Don’t give up hope.

Here is the secret on how to be bigger than jesus.

Treat the important like it’s trivial.

Treat the trivial like it’s important.

Treat the smart like they are dumb.

Treat the dumb like they are smart.

Treat the rich like they are poor.

Treat the poor like they are rich.

Got it?

Good.

Speaking of big:

My friend Brian is celebrating. And so is Johnny Depp. Now it’s common knowledge that small is the new big and big is the new…not big enough.

ABC vs Tivo

My first impression of this viral ad wasn’t good. But after watching it again I think I might be wrong.

  1. Brian Says:

You’re not helping yourself by name dropping me in your headline. But thanks anyway! 🙂

  2. Lisa Holmes Says:

I don’t remember the details but I think you wrote about this stuff before but you used girls as an example? I was looking for it a few days ago and couldn’t find it in the archives.

  3. chartreuse Says:

Brian, I wasn’t helping myself. I was helping you! 🙂

Lisa, look up getting laid in the archives. I think that’s what you’re looking for. Really.

  4. Never enough pictures of Angelina Jolie. She is so sweeet.

I say Norelco has a hit so time will tell.

  5. Clyde Smith Says:

Thanks for posting that rocketboom video. That’s been a fascinating situation for multiple reasons, even though I don’t really like the show.

I went through the siding with Amanda thing at first because I’ve been on her side more often and have watched some really nice people with power do some really awful things.

But Andrew’s really good. I didn’t have time to watch the whole thing but once he got going I went ahead and watched it anyway. I think it reveals that he shouldn’t be the show’s talent but that talking in a human voice about human issues is what separates Andrew and all sorts of folks from tradiitional bizspeak and from divas.

I’m really thinking this is good for Rocketboom and bad for Amanda. She’s really not that unique if you spend any time around theater circles and she’s got a relatively short window of opportunity. Talent like Amanda’s is practically being mass produced in acting programs these days. But Andrew comes across as something special.

Which, of course, doesn’t prove that he’s not going to cut your throat when he gets the chance, but I’m sure he’d do it in a meaninful way.

  6. chartreuse Says:

“… talking in a human voice about human issues ..” is exactly right.

That’s why I posted the video.

And Howard, that Norelco guy is all over YouTube.

  7. meettravis Says:

andrew came off really well. He should really thank his sister for telling him not to respond to Amanda. She has to prove her worth now. She will fade, Rocketboom will live.

    Rocketboomgate…
Will be yesterday’s news in a few weeks, just like Scoble & Microsoft. Stories stay news on the web for 36 hours. I read this yesterday.

Jolie is hot. And I like Copyblogger as well.

  9. “Treat the important like it’s trivial, the trivial like it’s important.”

Now what does that formula remind me of? Can you guess? MSM.

But I’m not trying to bash everything you say, though it may seem like it lately. I like this blog and your general thinking. You are thought provoking.

But I would like clarification of this theory.
