House Cleaning (Or what to expect when you wasn’t expecting)

Simón Pais Thomas

It was, of course, no accident that I decided to relaunch this season of this blog (after a Sopranos-long hiatus) with a reference to Gia Carangi.

Astute readers will remember that she was a chick who became famous being herself.

She lived her short but eventful life like a rock star, enjoying the vices of the age but dying tragically.

There’s something apropos about that in this flat age where opportunities abound and simple mistake could have your company a used-to-ran in days.

It also didn’t hurt that her life was made into a movie staring Angelina Jolie.

Though I wasn’t blogging I spent a lot of time paying attention.

Really.

I think I have some interesting insights and even more interesting stories for you about this new media stuff and my exes. I have some cool ideas for this season.

But what I am most looking forward to are the ideas and thoughts from you guys, the readers.

That’s what made this place kick ass in the first place.

Thanks for stopping by.

And pay attention.

please.

p.s.- anyone seen my security guy?

I have to say that I like the way that you think of blogging as a blogging season, just like a TV show.

And the fact of the matter is that blogging is a form of media and could be seen that way.

As for myslef, since you went on hiatus, I’ve moved to Taiwan. It’s been interesting living in Asia.

I’ve always enjoyed your blog and I did above all enjoy the comments.

  2. Huh. Alright, not getting my hopes up, but welcome back 🙂

I figured yesterday was just a random post. Glad to see the second season has finally begun.

  4. […] The second post in roughly 24 hours from Prince Campbell. I didn’t post on the first one because I’ve see the stray post before. Chartreuse is back in the house and welcomed from me.  Lets hope the issues of last year are left behind and we see some great blogging once again. Prince is a great bloke who I had the opportunity of spending a bit of time with last year. […]

Tiawan? There’s a story in that for sure.
Jeremy, it was pretty tough to decide if I wanted to do this again but I spoke to some folks about it and we’ll see how it goes. I’m a flaky guy (anyone would tell you that!) but that’s just part of my charm. What’s more interesting than a potential trainwreck?
Plus it gives me a place to tell everyone how wrong they are about everything!

Char: teaching English as a second language with my wife, traveling to Thailand and most of South-East Asia, visiting a lot of strange places and waiting for my French Bulldog to be shipped over.

Life is interesting in Taipei, and I’m learning Mandarin. I might go to the Beijing Olympics, though I know that the prices of hotels will be blown out of proportion because of that.
