This Blog Is Dead (or Hot Chicks Weekend or The Happy 6 Month Anniversary Post)

After annoucing the death of Television, Email and David Krug I have one more obituary to mention, my own.

This blog is celebrating 6 months in the blogospere today and we all know what that means.

It's dead.

Now that the honeymoon is officially over I can expect to see drops in my technorati numbers and over all traffic.

It was fun watching graphs go up but now I expect to see then headed downward. Hopefully I can level off at a spot that won't be too embarrassing because hearing Brian laughing at me everyday is not good for my sizable ego.

In order to slow the downward spiral I will be having a party this weekend.

Hot Chick Weekend

Nothing but pictures of scantily clad chicks with or without computers.

That should bouy the site numbers for a month or so…

It's been a cool 6 months.

People think the tipping point for this blog came from The New York Times article but that's not true. It was Liz Strauss, 9rules, BlogMedia and the Blog Herald that made this site relevent. I owe those folks some gratitude.

When I find some they will be the first to get it.

 

Of course I missed out on some opportunities.

I blew off interviews and speaking engagements.

Even when I agreed to do interviews I blew them off. Diane is still not talking to me because of it.

Here's a lesson for you folks dealing with me both of my ex-wives will agree with.

I'm terrible at commitment.

While I still have an audience I want to say some thank yous to some folks.

Matt and the crew at WordPress.com, if it were not for you guys this blog would be on Blogger or something weak like that.

Everyone who has ever made a comment on this blog. I appreciate it.
